Jong Park Institute of North Tonawanda opened in 1972. 308 Oliver Street was the first official home for Grand Master David Thieles TaeKwon-Do Academy. 50 years later... we are still making a difference in our community. Over 16k students have come through our doors seeking professional martial arts lessons. Master D. Prescott trained with Grand Master Thiele, worked for him and lead this school with him for 23 years. Proudly taking mantle in 2019. With the support, excitement and blessing of Grand Master Thiele, our Instructors and students - Prescott's Martial Arts Academy was born.
We are a Black Belt school: Focus
Your journey to black belt begins with your first lesson. Martial Arts is a practical skillset for self-defense, character development and life. It is a discipline, a structured knowledge/ trade considered higher education. This is an intellectual experience. We will study the biomechanics of these disciplines together, train and develop each student to their highest martial potential. The black belt attitude and mindset is beneficial to people of all ages, physical abilities and stages of life. You will leave each lesson with a clearer mind, lighter stress and stronger body. Our mission is to develop this mindset in each student. Let's build stronger people.
Community Focused Academy: Power
PMAA offers professional lessons, from some of the most experienced instructors you can find. This draws amazing students from all over WNY to our Dojang. We happily serve students from NT, Tonawanda, Niagara Falls, Sanborn, Amherst, Wheatfield, Pendleton, Wilson and Grand Island. We have great members and families here. Our instructors and students are encouraging, uplifting and always working together to help everyone reach their TKD goals. You'll build strong, positive friendships that are second to none. Time and time again, when asking long term students why they continue to pursue their martial goals. I always hear one consistent answer person to person. They speak about the people here and how those relationships impacted their life.
