A Brief History...
TaeKwon-Do was developed by General Choi Hong Hi, Officially given its name by April 11, 1955. Combining elements of Taekkyeon and Karate, General Choi unified the Kwans (Schools) of Korea and created a superior, more ergonomic fighting system. During the 1960's General Choi spearheaded the worldwide spread of TaeKwon-Do. Sending his original 12 masters out to different countries around the globe as a goodwill mission. One of those original masters is our very own, now Grand Master Park Jong Soo. Located in Toronto Canada, Grand Master Park has dedicated every waking moment to the growth and progression of the art. Just over 45 years ago, Grand Master David Thiele was introduced to Grand Master Park Jong Soo, leading to a powerful relationship that is strong today. Together, these men have and continue to make TaeKwon-Do available to tens of thousands. Grand Master David Thiele, Grand Master Heisner and Master Dustin Prescott oversee and promote student.
